How to set up SCOUT® GPS LINK in your Lexus vehicle.

To access Scout® GPS Link1 on your Lexus Display Audio, you will need a compatible iPhone®5 or Android™ smartphone that is connected via Bluetooth®. The Scout GPS Link app must be running on your smartphone. This app utilizes your smartphone's data plan.3

To use Scout GPS Link on your Lexus Display Audio, the app needs to be loaded on both your smartphone and the Lexus Display Audio system. Please park your vehicle and follow the directions below to set up Scout GPS Link in your vehicle.

Download Scout GPS Link App

Download the app from Apple App Store (iPhone) or Google Play2 (Android) to your smartphone.

Note: Scout GPS Link is available only on 2017 Lexus RX, ES, NX, IS and RC with Lexus Display Audio.

Connect Bluetooth

Connect your smartphone to your vehicle's Lexus Display Audio via Bluetooth®.

Open Scout GPS Link App

Open the app on your smartphone and touch "Let's get started!" to begin.

Create an account

Create a Scout GPS Link account or touch "Skip" to initialize the app.

Recommend signing up for a Scout GPS Link account to save destination histories.

Sync automatically

This screen or the map screen will appear on your smartphone when the Scout GPS Link mobile and vehicle apps has been successfully synced.

You must allow the app to access your location in order to use Scout GPS Link.

Update Lexus Display Audio

After initializing the app on your smartphone, the vehicle screen display will prompt you to update your Lexus Display Audio. Select "Now" to begin.

You can select "Download in Background" to use other Lexus Display Audio functions once the update begins.

Install

After finishing downloading, select "Install" to complete.

Finish Up

After the installation is complete, you can select "Connected Navi" in the vehicle main menu, then hit “OK” to access Scout GPS Link.

You're ready to start getting turn-by-turn directions4 from Scout GPS Link.
